🌈Mom got hit by a tree yesterday and she’s okay!?!!! "Life comes down to seconds” is what the EMT said. She was on her way to visit me for dinner but life had different plans; a brilliant reminder of all that matters most. Instead of death she walked out of the ER nearly unscathed. Guess she’s supposed to stick around for a bit longer. It’s wild to think how close we all are from death all the time, and yet how far away it feels. We’re all born into different circumstances and given different tools and then we head out into the big wide world to bump up against each other (and near misses) with opportunities at every moment to explore our comforts, our gratitude, our fear, our compassion, our boundaries, and our ability to survive and hopefully even thrive along the way!?!! It’s quick and it’s precious. It seems as though this tree fell literally one second earlier than killing her, to stop her abruptly and give us a scare and fresh opportunity and powerful reminder of just how juicy and unexpected this wild roller coaster ride can be.
